Van wijngaarden op 400 meter hoogte in Monteforte d’Alba, op een zandrijke, lemige kleibodem, komt deze Arneis, het inheemse witte druivenras van de Piëmonte. De wijnstokken zijn gemiddeld 20 jaar oud. Alle druiven worden met de hand geplukt en de wijn wordt vergist in roestvrij stalen tanks. Hierna rijpt de wijn nog minimaal 3 maanden op fles. Deze aromatische wit biedt aromas van perzik, acacia en meidoorn, met in de afdronk lichte hints van amandel en witte chocolade. Uitbundig in de aanzet, mooi drogend in de afdronk.
This Arneis, the indigenous white grape variety of the Piedmont, comes from vineyards on 400 metre altitudes in Monforte d’Alba, on sandy, silty clay soils. The vines have an average age of 20 years old. All grapes are hand-harvested and the wine is fermented in stainless steel. Afterwards, the wine ripens another 3 months in bottle. This aromatic white offers aromas of peach, acacia and hawthorne, with slight hints of almond and white chocolate in the aftertaste. Exuberant in the start, nice and dry in the finale.
