Artikelomschrijving
Valpolicella is the little brother of the famous Amarone-wines, made of the same grape-varieties: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The vines are planted on chalky soil with red clay and iron. The wine is made according tot he ripasso-method, where all grapes are hand-picked and dried for three to four months before pressing. Afterwards, the wine ripends for 12 months on both American and French oak barrels. This results in a sultry, spicy red, full of juicy and ripe prune and cherryfruits.
