De wijngaard ‘Tillets’ ligt bovenin de heuvels van Meursault, vlakbij de bossen. De naam is ontleend aan een Middeleeuwse lindenboom, die vaak rond de wijngaarden te vinden was. Expositie van deze wijngaard is zuid, zuid-oost. De bodem is bruine kalksteen met een ondergrond van harde kalk en mergel. Hierdoor staat de Meursault van deze wijngaard bekend om verfijning en mineraliteit. Deze Tillets heeft een floraal en elegant karakter, maar wel met de rondeur en gulheid die kemerkend is voor de stijl van Patriarche.
The vineyard ‘Tillets’ is situated on top of the hillside of Meursault, close to the woods. The name is derived from a Medieval linden tree that was often found around the vineyards. Exposition of the vines is south, south-east. The soil consists of brown limestone on a surface of hard limestone and marl. This is why Meursault from this vineyard is known for refinement and minerality. This Tillets has a floral and elegant character, yet with the roundness and generosity that is characteristic for the style of Patriarche.
