Deze Premier Cru ligt pal op het zuiden, wat zorgt voor clusters rijp fruit. De naam ‘Poruzot’ is afgeleid van ‘Porroux’ wat ‘stenige plek’ betekent. Dit is een rechtstreekse vertaling van de Jurassische kalksteen onderlaag van deze wijngaard. Gemiddelde leeftijd van de stokken bedraagt 55 jaar. Bij de opvoeding wordt 33% nieuw hout gebruikt. De Poruzot van Patriarche is een grootse wijn, met veel structuur, lengte en complexiteit.
This Premier Cru has a due south exposition, which brings clusters of ripe fruit. The name ‘Poruzot’ is derived from ‘Porroux’ which means ‘stony place’. This is a direct translation of the Jurassic limestone bedrock of this vineyard. Average age of the vines is 55 years. The wine is aged on barriques of which 33% new oak. Patriarche’s Poruzot is a grand wine, with lots of structure, length and complexity.
