De wijngaarden van ‘Cuvée du Roi’ liggen net buiten de appellatie-grenzen van Gevrey-Chambertin, maar delen wel deels hetzelfde terroir. Daarom mag deze Bourgogne Pinot Noir met recht een mini-Gevrey genoemd worden. Deze energieke rood is een goede kennismaking met de stijl van Guillon: Een gepolijst palet van stijlvol fruit en specerijen, een solide structuur, goed geïntegreerde, zijdeachtige tannines en opwekkende frisheid in de finale.
The vineyards of ‘Cuvée du Roi’ are located just outside the appellation borders of Gevrey-Chambertin, but share partially the same terroir. That’s why we can call this Burgundy Pinot Noir rightfully a mini-Gevrey. This energetic red is a good introduction to the style of Guillon: A polished palette of stylish fruit and spices, a solid structure, well integrated, silky tannins and an uplifting freshness in the finale.
