Rijkgeschakeerde, voloptueuze Verdicchio, afkomstig van een single vineyard met 60 jaar oude wijnstokken op een hoogte van 220 meter. De bodem bestaat uit kalkrijke klei en zand. De druiven worden met de hand geoogst. De wijn wordt vergist op roestvrij staal en vervolgens 18 maanden op de lie. 5% van de wijn wordt gedurende één jaar gerijpt op klei amfoor. Er worden per jaar slechts 5300 flessen geproduceerd. Dit is een Verdicchio met rijpingspotentieel. Goudgeel van kleur, complex en smooth tegelijk met aroma’s van groene kruiden en minerale hints. De afdronk is droog en lang, met levendige zuren.
Richly varied, voloptuous Verdicchio, from a single vineyard with 60 year old vines planted on 220 meters altitude. The soil consists of calcareous clay and sand. All grapes are hand harvested. The wine is fermented on stainless steel and then 18 months on its lees. 5% of the wine is aged in clay amphoras for one year. Only 5300 are produced each year. This is a Verdicchio with ageing potential. Yellow-golden in colour, complex and smooth at the same time, with aromas of green herbs and mineral hints. The finale is long and dry, with vibrant acidity.
