Les Jumeaux, “de tweelingen”, is afkomstig van 3.7 hectare Gamay geplant in 1954, 1956 en 1996 in de climat Pont des Samsons. De wijngaard bevindt zich halfverwege de helling van de Mont Brouilly, waar een unieke bodem-mix te vinden is van blauwe graniet, roze klei en zand, wat doet denken aan die van de Morgon-appellatie. Marc-Antonin gebruikt tot 30% hele trossen met Bourgondische fermentatie gedurende 20 dagen, wat bijdraagt aan de complexiteit. Vervolgens laat hij de wijn 10 maanden rijpen in grote houten tanks. Les Jumeaux is zijn favoriete Côte de Brouilly. Reeds in zijn jeugd heel aantrekkelijk, maar ook met groot rijpingspotentieel. Deze rood heeft meer power en structuur dan de Pierre Bleue, maar is tegelijkertijd zacht en rond.
Les Jumeaux, “the twins”, come from 3.7 hectare Gamay planted in 1954, 1956 and 1996 in the climat of Pont des Samsons. The vineyard is located midway up de the slope of Mont Brouilly, where a unique soil-mix is found of bleu granite, pink clay and sand, reminiscent of the Morgon appellation. Marc-Antonin uses up to 30% whole bunches with Burgundian fermentation for 20 days, which contributes to the complexity of the wine. Afterwards, the wine ripens for 10 months in large wooden tanks. Les Jumeaux is his favorite Côte de Brouilly. Already very attractive when young, but also with great ageing-potential.
