Power-house van Clos du Caillou: Een stoere, krachtige Châteauneuf van 70% Grenache en 30% Syrah, afkomstig van 58 jaar oude stokken aangeplant op het unieke terroir ‘Les Cassanets’: Zandrijk, met grote ronde keien aan de oppervlakte die de warmte goed vasthouden, waardoor de druiven hun optimale rijpheid bereiken. Dit resulteert in een weelderige, volle wijn, complex en met stevige structuur. De wijn rijpt 90% in demi-muids en 10% in terracotta amforen. Voor de liefhebbers van zwoele, rijke Rhônes.
The power-house of Clos du Caillou: A bold, powerful Châteauneuf made of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah from 58 year old vines, planted on the unique terroir ‘Les Cassanets’: Sandy soil with big, round polished stones on the surface, that can maintain the warmth of the sun, which results in optimal ripeness of the grapes. This results in a sultry, full-bodied wine, complex and well-structured. The wine ripens for 14 months in both demi-muids (90%) and terracotta amphora (10%). For admirers of lush, rich Rhône wines.
