Deze charmante Chardonnay is afkomstig van de cool-climate wijngaarden van Elgin, één van de hoger gelegen wijngebieden in Zuid-Afrika (500-700 meter) Door de ligging is hier meer wolk-vorming en in de winter zijn de temperaturen veel lager dan in Stellenbosch, waardoor de wijnstok in een diepere winterslaap raakt, wat de algehele gezondheid en oudering ten goede komt. De wijn rijpt 16 maanden in neutrale vaten frans eiken op de fijne lie. Dit alles resulteert in een perfect gebalanceerde combinatie van rijp wit fruit and een crispy zuurgraad, met een licht creamy touch met dank aan het houtgebruik. Totale produktie bedraagt 6000 flessen.
This charming Chardonnay comes from the cool-climate vineyards of Elgin, one of the higher-altitude vineyards in South-Africa (500-700 metres) Thanks to this location there is greater cloud cover and the winter have lower temperatures than Stellenbosch, which allows the vines to reach deeper hibernation, which benefits the health and ageing. The wine ripens for 16 months in neutral French oak barrels on its fine lees. This all results in a perfectly balanced combination of ripe white fruits and crispy acidity, with a slightly creamy touch thanks to the oak. Total production is 6000 bottles.
