Domaine Nathalie & Gilles Fèvre

De Fèvre familie is onlosmakelijk verbonden met de Chablis streek. In de stamboom zijn wijnmakers, tonneliers, oenologen en landbouwingenieurs te vinden. Gilles ontmoette Nathalie tijdens de oenologenopleiding. Ook dochter Julie is oenologe geworden en brengt momenteel als nieuwe generatie nieuwe inzichten en expertise binnen het domein. Het echtpaar werkte lange tijd voor de door Gilles vader opgerichte coöperatie, maar kreeg in 2003 de kans wat eigen wijngaarden terug te nemen en wijnen onder hun label uit te brengen. Er wordt reeds 20 jaar lang duurzaam en zorgvuldig gewerkt in de wijngaarden. Gilles runt de wijngaarden en Nathalie de kelders. De samenwerking resulteert in gebalanceerde wijnen met zacht en zijdeachtig fruit, in combinatie met energieke zuren.

The Fèvre family has been intrinsically linked to the Chablis region. The family tree consists of wine makers, barrelmakers, oenologists and agricultural engineers. Gilles met Nathalie during their oenology studies. Daughter Julie, also oenologist, currently implements new expertise and insights to the domaine. The couple has worked for years for the cooperation founded by Gilles father, but seized the opportunity in 2003 to take back some of the vineyards and started producing wines under their own label. They have been cultivating their vineyards carefully and sustainably for over 20 years. Gilles runs the vineyards and Nathalie is the cellar master. Their collaboration results in balanced  wines with soft and silky fruits combined with energetic acidity.
