Bijzondere Amfoor-Gavi waar slechts 1400 flessen van geproduceerd worden. De druiven zijn afkomstig van de typerende ijzerrijke kleigrond in het noorden van de appellatie. De wijngaarden hebben een zuid, zuid-west oriëntatie en de gemiddelde leeftijd van de wijnstokken is 30 jaar oud. Fermentatie geschiedt in terracotta amforen en op de schillen gedurende 15 dagen. Hierna rijpt de wijn verder in amfoor gedurende 9 maanden. Dit resulteert in een complexe Gavi met gelaagd fruit, verfijnde textuur, veel aromatische expressie en enorme lengte.
Remarkable Amphora-Gavi with a production of only 1400 bottles. The grapes come from the characteristic iron rich clay soils in the north of the appellation. The vineyard have a south, south-west exposition and the average age of the vines is 30 years old. Fermentation occurs in terracotta amphora and on the skins during 15 days. Afterwards, the wine ripens further in amphora during 9 months. This results in a complex style gavi, with layered fruit and spicy hints, a refined texture, lots of aromatic expression and incredible length.
