Met een familie-wijnmaaktraditie die teruggaat tot honderden jaren geleden, is Bodegas D. Mateos één van de nieuwe herontdekkingen in Rioja en hun wijnen belichamen het ware karakter van deze regio. Mateo Ruiz, aan boord van dit project sinds de constructie van het wijnbedrijf in 2000, maakt authentieke Rioja’s met elk zijn onderscheidende persoonlijkheid. Dit huis is gevestigd in Aldeanueva de Ebro in Rioja Oriental. In dit warme deel van Rioja is meer Garnacha aangeplant. Het domein omvat 4 grote percelen waar elk een ander druivenras staat aangeplant. De wijnen zijn gebalanceerd: Ze bieden het klassieke Rioja-gevoel in combinatie met voldoende frisheid.
With a family tradition of winemaking that dates back hundreds of years, Bodegas D. Mateos in one of the latest rediscoveries in Rioja and their wines embody the true character of this region. Mateo Ruiz, aboard on this project since the construction of the winery in 2000, produces authentic Riojas with each wine showcasing distinct personality. The winery is located in Aldeanueva de Ebro in Rioja Oriental. More Garnacha is planted in this warm part of the region. The property consists of 4 big parcels, each planted with another variety. The wines are balanced: They offer the classic Rioja-feeling in combination with sufficient freshness.
